Where is the snow?!

Well it’s still pretty green out here! Snow fall, as you probably know, has been minimal so riding has been pretty limited. Avoriaz has been open so I have been heading up there and broke out my new board that I love, a K2 Skyla. It’s so light, flexible and responsive which has been so essential riding on the busy slopes, if you are looking for an all round board that can handle most terrain then definitely go for this one.

Update from Morzine…..

So things have been a little slow kicking off this season. I arrived on the 3rd December and pretty much got straight into working as a chalet assistant. It’s a pretty sweet job, hardly brain taxing and it allows time during the day on the slopes. Plus the girls I am working with are brilliant, I don’t think I have laughed as much in my whole life as I have in the last two weeks! So hats off to you Leah and Bee, you make my day!

Preparing for the Season

So I’m heading off to do a season in Morzine in just under two weeks. You would have thought that going from a pretty stressful job in PR to organising myself for a season would be easy. It’s not that it’s difficult; it’s just that there is so much to think of. Firstly, unless you have a little money stashed away (and let’s face it no-one in London has!) you need to sort yourself a job. So I’ve done that and have decided to go the chalet assistant route (time during the day on the slopes, plus food, accommodation and a lift pass are all sorted for you).
