From 18-27 July, the US Open of Surfing will hit Huntington Beach, California, USA with a 6-star stop on the Women’s Surfing WQS.
With a rich history dating back to 1959, the Honda US Open of Surfing presented by O’Neill boasts North America’s only six-star World Qualifying Series (WQS)-rated men’s and women’s events. Offering a bundle of qualifying points, plus cash prizes totaling $200,000, there’s set to be fierce competition, as this event is critical to American surfers aspiring to reach the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) elite World Tours.
Divisions include men’s, women’s, junior contests and longboarding with an impressive line-up of surfers including C.J. Hobgood, Stephanie Gilmore, Junior Pro Champ Tonino Benson, US Longboard champ Colin McPhillips plus surf stars such as Jeremy Flores, Taylor Knox, Sofia Mulanovich, Karina Petroni, Sally Fitzgibbons, Joel Tudor, and Dodger Kremel.
